WELCOME!!
Thank you for stopping by!
We want to welcome you to Jensen Jet Models. We are a Division of Laurmar Enterprises. For simplification and ease of portrayal, we are only depicting Jensen Jet models Division's products at this Site. Jensen Jet Models Division is further divided into three groups. They are:
1) Fabrication: At the present time, we manufacture an all metal, teflon bearing, Control Stick Gimbals (Joy Sticks) for Radio Control Transmitters. We also fabricate Metal Cases (Enclosures) for Radio Control Transmitters. Additionally, we intend to manufacture five (5) Giant Scale models. These models are in various stages of development:
The A-10 Warthog. This model is a 1/9 scale (80" Wingspan) bird. It is in production, however, due to the recent purchase and transition from the original manufacturer (Sunset Models of Suzanville CA.), we are making some changes. These changes mostly affect the drawings and construction notes. The only changes to the plane itself, is mold refinement and fuselage detail improvement. Check this bird out in our online A-10.
The F7U-3 Cutlass. This model is a 1/7 scale bird with a 70" Wingspan. It will be in production in late Spring of 2001. There are some strong rumors floating around the plant that if this bird does good in the "Sales" category, we might produce it in the 90 mm ducted fan size. Check this unique bird out in our online F7U-3. For those of you who might not know about this aircraft, you can learn more about the full sized plane at: http://www.robotgroup.org/lubbock/AircraftOfTheMonth/12-99.html
The ER-2 (known as the U-2S to the military, or to all of us that remember it as the infamous U-2). This model will be a 1/9 scale bird with a Wingspan of 11.67 feet. This model is in the early developmental stages, and is projected to be available by late 2001. We have had some input requesting various versions of this interesting aircraft. There is a possibility that we would produce all of the versions including the ER-2, and both the regular and trainer models of the military versions. If you are interested drop us a reply and tell us your choice at: engineering@jensenjetmodels.com . We are here to build what you want. Beech V35B Bonanza. Hey! How did that Civilian prop plane get in here with these Military jets? Because the boss told us to, that's why. Actually, the boss has had a large influence for the development of this Bonanza. It is one of his favorite models and when a major kit manufacturer discontinued this size bird, the decision was made to produce a fiberglass model of this popular aircraft. Our model will be in 1/5 scale with a Wing span of 80". We are going to limit your choices on this one. It will be designed to use a Saito 100 to 130 twin four stroke engine. It will be retract ready, and the retracts will be available as an option. If you don't want retracts, you will have to design your own fixed gear. The "V" tailed version will be the only one available. We are hoping to have this bird developed, tested, and ready for production by Summer of 2001. Email us for the latest status. F8 Crusader. This is the Boss's next most favorite model that he wants to eventually develop. We humor him on this one because he used to work on the real plane as a Structural, Hydraulic, and Emergency Equipment Technician. His U.S. Navy Fighter Squadron VF-142 "World Famous Fighting Falcons" made three Western Pacific cruises aboard three different Aircraft Carriers during the 1959 to 1963 time frame. In the four years that he "lived" with this aircraft we will admit he knows what it looks like and how it "ticks", so we let him do the actual design of the model himself. He boasts the fully functional variable incidence wing with simultaneous and synchronized horizontal Stabilizer repositioning, flaps and "droop snoot" wing leading edges. It will also have full horizontal stabilizer control and an In-flight refueling probe (it won't actually take on fuel). He jokingly says that if he can get all of this to fly properly, he will add Retracts and speed brake. Look for this one Spring of 2002. Take a look at this one in our online F8 Crusader.
2) Customizing and Repairs: We custom build a metal cased, fully synthesized, computer controlled, Single Stick radio control transmitter. We have authority from Fred Marks Associates (FMA) to use the internals from their transmitter. In a very recent developement, we will be installing Gordon Andersons Computerized Encoder internals. We also have these internals in various kit forms. The demand for Single Stick transmitters appears to be increasing, so we are going to go with the flow and concentrate our efforts on this version. Of course we will also produce Dual Stick versions. We will continue to repair and upgrade the Ace Micropro 8000 transmitters, both dual and Single Stick versions. Please go to Radios/Customizing Services
3) Sales:In which there are two types: They are Direct sales of our own products and services, and dealership sales of Models, Engines, Fan Units, Tuned pipes, Landing Gear and other supplies that we handle from other manufactures. Our goal is to provide a one stop Giant scale source that will be able to furnish everything you need for your model, at reasonable and affordable prices. Come on in and browse around.
